Adrian's Work Log

Tuesday, May 26 So sorry...this week and last have been so nuts.  Lots of behaviors to deal with, from both boys.  Trying medication for Adrian, but it's not yet strong enough to really have a positive effect.  Anxiety through the roof.  The you-know-what is hitting the fan. We have done bare minimum in terms of homework: project and math.  I've even become a scribe for the first few problems to get Adi going....  I'm enabling...but I am more focused on him just getting the content at this point.  :-(  Haven't done Lexia or mid-day silent reading...We do continue to do math facts at night and read at night.  I do hope we can get it back, but right now nothing productive was coming out of my forcing it.  Sorry--I tried.  I really did! Monday, May 18 He did 20 math facts in 45 seconds.  He can fly through them now--addition and subtraction.  But he's still a slow writer. He WAS going to do the arctic fox but there wasn't enough info.  So we already moved to a grizzly bear.  There is plenty of info about that!  We have been talking about bears while hiking so I think that's why this animal eventually stuck.  (We know there are no grizzlies in Mass!) He's just started to fill this in from the National Geo Kids website and a few others.
