Week 9: May 25-29

Tuesday, May 26

So sorry...this week and last have been so nuts.  Lots of behaviors to deal with, from both boys.  Trying medication for Adrian, but it's not yet strong enough to really have a positive effect.  Anxiety through the roof.  The you-know-what is hitting the fan.

We have done bare minimum in terms of homework: project and math.  I've even become a scribe for the first few problems to get Adi going....  I'm enabling...but I am more focused on him just getting the content at this point.  :-(  Haven't done Lexia or mid-day silent reading...We do continue to do math facts at night and read at night.  I do hope we can get it back, but right now nothing productive was coming out of my forcing it.  Sorry--I tried.  I really did!

Some Ramadan art from over the weekend.  Adrian's is the top right.  I did the bottom two to get them inspired...they didn't want to do it.  Seb's is top left.

Some random art Adrian drew.  I actually imagine this is his brain...really creative and detailed and beautiful but all swirly lines going everywhere.  Honestly, I wonder if his art will change once his brain and body feel better to him...something to watch!

Here's his map of where Grizzlies live.  He did this himself...I think it is pretty good--or at least better than I could do! LOL.  It does look like a squirrel with something on its back, though...

Here he is reading his new book from Mrs. Silverstein that she brought him.  :-)

Playing outside after dinner.  It looks like Carlos is fishing, but he's fixing the hose so he can hose the boys down! ;-)

Wednesday, 5/27

More fun with the hose.

Thursday, 5/28
