Week 6: May 4-8

Monday, 5/8

For teacher appreciation, the boys made cards for Ms. Police.  They also made her a video.  They will make something for a teacher each day this week...They also made cards for my nana, who is 94.  Off in the mail today! :-)

Last night Adrian built this transformer Lego while Seb was in the shower and doing his math facts.  Not sure if that says more about how fast Adrian builds or how slow Seb is at math facts...but either way, this is pretty cool!

HAPPY TEACHER APPRECIATION DAY!  Today was Ms. Sparrow's day!  We made a video as well.  Fun! ;-)

 What a face...whole class meeting.

 Karate now.

Wednesday, 5/6

Today was your day, Mrs. Rogers!!

Before karate, we made Wacky Cake and so I showed the boys how the vinegar and baking soda is what causes the cake to rise.

Then Adrian and I got goofy.  He's been in a good mood for the past few days--relatively speaking.

The days lately have been so NOT fun.  Boys' work in the morning--rushed--sometimes in between meetings for me.  Then their Zoom meetings and my meetings ALL afternoon.  If I don't get it done in the morning, it's not getting done.  :-(  Art and music take a back seat...even though I think they are super important.  I will try to make up for it on the weekend.  And the weather this week seems to be good when I'm in meetings...and then cloudy and colder after dinner.  I can't wait until summer and we can have our "adventures" for most of the day.  I work during the summer a bit--usually for a few hours a day--but we still manage to get in a ton of fun.  Though who knows what this year will look and feel like.  We usually spend almost every day with my brother and the cousins--he's also a teacher and the cousins are about the same age as the boys.  I'm hoping we'll be able to hang together.  Summer is just over a month away...Yay!

Thursday, May 7

Watching number and Nat Geo videos while eating breakfast...

Adi's teacher appreciation note today was to his grandma--my mother--who was a teacher for over 30 years. He comes from a family of educators: his mom and aunt on Carlos's side and on my side: his grandmother, grandfather, uncle, and me.  We love our teachers in this family--there is no one we admire more.  Thank you again for all you do. :-)
